Artist's Statement
Vibrant luscious color found in the Maine and New England landscape is the focus of my painting. Sometimes it's soothing, sometimes it shouts. Either way I find it delicious and exciting to work in. Mostly working in oil on panel, and pastel on paper, I also make monotypes (one-of-a-kind) prints. I am drawn to high horizons, dramatic scale, and perspectives that involve the viewer from a low vantage point.
