Spring Along the Kenduskeag River
Artist's Statement and Bio
Landscapes reflected through the passing of time, light that is real “now” is only a memory a second later. Those memories that catch my mind’s eye are what I attempt to hold, to examine, and to understand through the painting process. My paintings allow those memories to become real once again and revisited.
David Haskins moved to Maine from Colorado in 2005. He teaches art at Husson University and at Bangor High School’s continuing education classes. He lives in Bangor with his wife Afton and their Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lautrec.
